超碰会员 I am a piano tuner and technician serving the Northern Colorado area.My primary service area is Fort Collins, Loveland, and Windsor.
All acoustic pianos go out of tune, from the smallest spinet to thelargest grand. This is often caused by seasonal changes in humidity andother environmental changes interacting with the wood, felt, and steelmaterials in the piano. How quickly depends on the quality and conditionof a piano, where it is located, and how much it is played.
Piano manufacturers recommend tuning a minimum of two and up to four times per year.Frequent tuning has many benefits: it keeps the piano close to the pitchit was designed for, and therefore sounding as intended; it stabilizes thepiano so it does not need to be tuned as far each time; it causes thepiano to undergo less stress during tuning; and of course, it soundswonderful, and gives greater potential for making beautiful music.
By having me see a piano on a regular basis, you will have more accurateinformation about when certain work is appropriate or needed, and avoidsituations that may result in unnecessary expense.I can track when apiano was last tuned, and offer gentle reminders of when it is time, basedon the piano's situation and use.
After discussing service needs it may be wise to consider having furtherwork beyond basic tuning such as action regulation and reconditioning.Ofcourse, I can take care of repairs and maintenance work thatarise during the life of a piano.I love to tune, and concentratemy studies on those areas affecting touch and tone, including actionregulation and voicing. For pianos requiring substantial rework, I mayrefer you to local rebuilders whose focus on restoration would beappropriate for the situation.
My goal is to help care for your piano, maximizing enjoyment of andpreserving your investment of money, time, and energy in it.To that end Iwork to improve my knowledge and skills in order to provide excellentservice.I am a RegisteredPiano Technician member of the Piano Technicians Guild, having passed theirexaminations on tuning, repair, and regulation.I am a certified installer of the Dampp-Chaserhumidity control system, andrecommend it for maintaining piano longevity and maximizing tuning stability. My mentors in the art and craft of the piano arethe late Richard Frederick of Laporte, Colorado and Don Rose of Regina, Saskatchewan.
Individual situations will vary, but at minimum during a tuningappointment I will perform the following:
Tuning takes about an hour and a half, more or lessdepending on how out of tune the piano is, its general condition, and theenvironment where it is located.
Tuning is best performed when the room is quiet where the piano islocated, with no audible distractions such as music, TV, ceilingfans, or washing machines.
The cost of a basic tuning is 超碰会员 and includes smallto moderate pitch corrections. Larger pitch correctionmay incur an additional $40 fee, and is sometimes required when a piano hasnot been tuned recently, or has not been well maintained.
Rates for other work such as regulation, repair, voicing, and inspectionsare on an hourly basis in half-hour increments, for which I can provide estimates.
I accept payment at the time of the appointment, or invoice as isconvenient for you or your organization. I accept the major credit or debit cards, using the Square card readerI bring with me (mobile phone signal at your location required).A personal check is also fine.
I am able to accept online payments via the major credit and debit cardsas well as PayPal. At the time of service, let me know your email addressif I don't already have it, and I will send you an invoice that has theappropriate links for making payment online.
