Library Re-Opening & COVID-19 Information

The library has re-opened! Our temporary hours are:

Limited services are available, including borrowing of materials, limited computer lab access, charging stations, and WiFi. Details about the Summer Reading Program will be released soon!

The following services have been temporarily suspended: public seating, public programs and meetings, literacy tutoring, MakerSpace/3-D printing, study rooms, homebound service, interlibrary loan, puppets, puzzles, blocks, and children’s AWE computers in Youth Services, Ellison die cut machine, public faxing, microfilm use, magazine/book sale, and acceptance of donations.

VITA Tax Preparation Program

VITA Tax Preparation Program

The library is now accepting requests for tax filing assistance through the VITA program. Please call 219-873-3049 for more information.

SlamCamp

SlamCamp 2020

SlamCamp goes virtual for 2020! Middle schoolers, join us this July for weekly writing and arts activities, and compete for prizes.

Every Monday morning, campers will receive two to four writing and arts prompts. Campers will then show their creativity by writing, drawing, and/or making videos in response to one or more of the prompts and submit them by Friday morning to compete for fabulous weekly prizes and for grand prizes at the end!
